Nel mio caso specifico si tratta di una semplice domanda retorica, a cui rispondo con uno sguardo intenso seguito da un silenzio carico di sottintesi.
Si sono scarpe, servono per camminare.
Ma con stile.
Ringrazio Virgil Abloh per aver sottolineato il concetto con gli stivali della collezione autunno/inverno 2017 di Off-White.
“What do you do with all those shoes?”
Don’t ask me that question, because all you will get is a long intense stare, followed by a meaningful silence.

Tempo fa ho visitato la mostra dell’unico e solo Manolo Blahnik a Milano: vedere tutti quegli iconici design in un unico spazio (e senza targhetta con il prezzo) è stato surreale. Un’esplosione di idee, colori, tecniche di lavorazione e tessuti: no, queste non sono scarpe…sono molto di più!
Ecco perché parlare del prossimo trend di questo autunno è più che un piacere per me.
Ora che avete inserito un tocco di rosso nel vostro armadio, che ne dite di un bel paio di stivali per l’autunno?
L’alta moda si spreca con le opzioni più disparate: è chiaro che non c’è spazio per la banalità. Colori vivaci, dettagli unici e design aggressivi.

An explosion of ideas, colors, manufacturing techniques and fabrics: no, these are not “just shoes”…they are much more!

Pensate sempre alla vostra figura! E’ una banalità, ma se optate per stivali sopra il ginocchio ricordatevi sempre di giocare con le proporzioni degli abiti. Il giusto mix vi farà apparire più slanciate!
