Fare shopping da amante della moda non è semplice.
Dimenticate le scene del Diavolo Veste Prada, dove basta farsi assumere come stagista in una redazione di moda per avere totale accesso ad un intero guardaroba griffato, o le folli spese impulsive alla I Love Shopping con tanto di sottofondo pop.
Quando ti appassioni alla moda ogni acquisto diventa più complicato di un’operazione chirurgica: il cervello “questo va un casino quest’anno, ma su di me anche no”; “questa è un’ode al poliestere”; “Ma questa è una copia spudorata della collezione 2016 di Gucci! Giammai lo comprerò!”;”Queste scarpe valgono tutte le vesciche del mondo!” ; “è legale vendere un abito così trash?” ; “il crop top in inverno esattamente chi se lo mette?”
E poi arriva quell’inevitabile: “Oh mio dio, questo è perfetto, devo averlo, lo provo subito e …”
Sei povera.
Going shopping as a fashion lover is not easy.
Forget those “Devil Wears Prada” scenes, where it is enough to be hired as an intern for a major fashion magazine to have full access to a whole new designed wardrobe, or those crazy shopping spree in “I Love Shopping”.
When you love fashion every purchase becomes more complicated than surgery. Get ready to hear your brain judging everything like an old maid: “this garment is on trend…but I’m not like everyone else” ; “This is just a tribute to polyester” ; “This is just a sad copy of Gucci 2016 collection! I just can’t look at it!” ; “These shoes are worth every blister!” ; “ Is it legal to sell such a trashy gown?” ; “Crop tops for winter. Really?”.
But then comes that inevitable “OMG, this is just perfect! I need to have it, I’m going to try it on and….”, and you realize to be broke.
Povera fino al giorno in cui non compare quella parola: SALDI.
A quel punto non ce n’è per nessuno.
You are broke until that magic word comes: SALES.
By then it’s show time.
Sconti a pioggia (veri o fittizi) e una miriade di rivali pronti a soffiarti quello che volevi: non ci sono regole, tutto è lecito.
Chi ha mai lavorato come commesso in un negozio saprà che è come essere in trincea…solo con la musica dance a tutto volume in background.
Se odiate la moda, i saldi sono comunque un’imperdibile occasione di studio del comportamento umano. Ciao Darwin!

La mia filosofia è sempre quella di puntare ai capi essenziali della stagione, senza vincolarsi ai trend passeggeri. Qualcosa che sopravviva alla prova del tempo e che sia facile reinventare ogni volta. Un esempio? L’abito bianco. Non non proprio QUELL’ABITO, ma quasi. Corto, lungo, con lo spacco, scollato o meno: scegliete quello che esalta al meglio la vostra figura, e su Reformation le opzioni non mancano, ma in valigia o nell’armadio non deve mancare! Indossabile dal giorno alla notte con un semplice cambio di accessori. Da evitare quelli troppo aderenti o rigidi…non serve che vi dica perchè (ciao Sudore!!). Altro must è la ciabatta, soprattutto quando non è ovvia nel design o nelle decorazioni. Ve lo dico da mante dei tacchi: se devo stare al piano terra che ne valga la pena! Grazie Manebì. A chiudere il mio manifesto dell’ovvio super cool ovviamente un paio di occhiali da copertina. Se cercate occhiali moderni e non banali ad un buon prezzo, Saraghina Eyewear è l’opzione Made in Italy più valida che possiate trovare.
My shopping philosophy is to look for the real must have of the season, regardless of the trend of the moment. I want something that will stand the test of time and that I can easily vamp up anytime. An example? The white dress. Ok, not THAT WHITE DRESS, but close. Short, long, with a slit, plunging neckline or not: choose the one looking better on your body, (and on Reformation you would be overwhelmed by choices), but don’t forget to put a white dress in your luggage or wardrobe! You can easily wear it from 9 to 5, just by playing with the accessories. However do avoid tight and rigid options, because…I mean you know why (#NoSweat). Another must have for the summer is the slide, especially when it hasn’t an obvious design or decoration. I am a high-heels die-hard fan, but when I decide to walk “floor level” it has to be worth it. Thank you Manebì.

Per la mia lista dei desideri dedicata all’estate ho scelto tre pezzi unici di cui mi sono innamorata a prima vista. Partiamo dalle scarpe: signore e signori lasciate che vi presenti le sneakers/espadrillas di Manebì! Come avere il meglio delle due opzioni in un unico paio di scarpe; non so voi ma queste mi accompagneranno tutta la stagione! Il secondo punto fermo della mia lista? il bikini ovviamente. Per me basta restare fedeli ai design classici, osando però con il colore: grazie ad Instagram ho scoperto che Basic Swim la pensa esattamente come me. Ultimo ma non per importanza una simpatica borsa a tracolla in vimini per le passeggiate nel verde o in riva al mare.

In my opinion, it is better to stick to classic design, while going for stronger colors: thanks to Instagram I’ve found out that Basic Swim is on my side. Last but not least a funny cross body basket-bag.

Il primo capo della wishlist estiva è un bikini (regina dell’ovvio) di Luna Beach. Non mi soffermerò a parlare della moda dell’estate, il costume intero rosso fiammante, semplicemente perché non ho le tette di Pamela Anderson in Baywatch (e nemmeno la prestanza del petto di Zan Efron nel remake!). Ma soprattutto perché voglio abbronzarmi anche la pancia. I costumi di Luna Beach hanno la particolarità di essere tinti a mano, quindi sono capi unici nel loro genere.
Seconda scelta: il vestitone arioso. Dixie mi ha regalato delle valide alternative, come questo vestito dalla stampa tropicale.
Il capo numero tre è stata una scelta obbligata, oltre che senza tempo, ogni estate diventa un trend: la borsa di paglia. Questa firmata Lisa Says Gah è perfetta per me grazie ai doppi manici, corti e lunghi. Con questa sei pronta sia per la spiaggia che per il mercato dei fiori <3

This summer promises to be really really hot and, just like every year, I skip all the summer trends in order to choose something comfortable and…airy (love this adjective)!
The first item of this summer wishlist is a bikini (queen of obvious) from Luna Beach.
I will not talk about the 2k17 madness for the red swimsuit, simply because I have not Pamela Anderson Baywatch boobs (or the chest Zac Efron has in the remake!). And because I want to tan my jelly belly. The “plus” of Luna Beach dyed bikini is that they are unique because of the hand-dying process.
Second choice: the airy dress. Dixie will help you finding something interesting such as this tropical dress.
The third item I choose is a timeless pick, simply because every summer it becomes a trend: the straw bag. This one from Lisa Says Gah is perfect because of the double handled. With this one you are ready either for the beach or the flower market <3
