Celine Dion looked like an angel at the Billboard Music Awards 2017

Lasciamo per un attimo lo sfarzoso red carpet del Festival del Cinema a Cannes per raggiungere una città che sullo sfarzo ha costruito la propria reputazione: Las Vegas. Il motivo di questo viaggio intercontinentale? I Billboard Music Awards 2017, o meglio Celine Dion ai Billboard Music Awards 2017: la star canadese si è esibita alla fine dello show di premiazione, in occasione del 20° anniversario dell’intramontabile hit “My Heart Will Go On” e del film Titanic di James Cameron, indossando quella che potremmo definire un’opera d’arte.

Let’s leave the luxurious red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival to reach another city that has built an empire on the idea of luxury: Las Vegas. What’s the reason of this intercontinental journey? The Billboard Music Awards 2017, or better Celine Dion at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards: the Canadian star closed the award show wearing what we can call a masterpiece and performing her timeless hit “My Heart Will Go On” to celebrate the song’s 20th anniversary, and therefore the one of the movie Titanic by James Cameron.

“Credo che quando si riaccenderanno le luci, il pubblico sarà sotto shock. Vi ricorderete la sua esibizione e la sua voce, ma ricorderete anche il suo abito. Non c’è dubbio. / I think when those lights come up, people are really going to have that clutch my pearl, that deep sigh moment. You will remember her performance and her voice, but you will also remember her dress. No doubt about it.” Celine Dion’s stylist Law Roach.

Amen Law Roach!! Che dire…ho pianto. L’esibizione è stata prevedibilmente impeccabile: quella voce inconfondibile, la scenografia…QUELL’ABITO! Un abito scultura mozzafiato firmato Stephane Rolland dalla collezione Haute Couture primavera 2017: drammatico e femminile, quest’abito dimostra l’arguzia dello stylist Law Roach, che da un anno a questa parte sta letteralmente rilanciando l’immagine dell’artista.

Amen Law Roach!! I mean…I cried. The performance was obviously flawless : her unique voice, the scenography…THAT DRESS! Asculptural piece from Stephane Rolland Spring 2017 Couture collection: dramatic and feminine, this gown show stylist Law Roach’s wit, who has been revamping Celine’ style since last year.

“Penso di essere riuscito a capire chi sia Celine come artista, donna e come appassionata di moda. Non credo che molte persone siano riuscite a vedere questo aspetto in passato e per me è molto divertente riuscire a mostrare alla gente, attraverso le nostre scelte in termini di moda, chi sia veramente questa donna, che crescendo abbiamo imparato ad ascoltare. […] è bello vederla uscire e divertirsi, prendersi dei rischi e fare tutte quelle cose che ancora suonano inaspettate per lei. / I think I’ve really grown to know who Celine is as an artist, a woman, and as fashion girl. I don’t think a lot of people got to  see that before and it’s so fun for me to be able to show people through our fashion choices exactly who this woman is that we all grew up listening to our entire lives […]It’s fun to see her out and about and really having fun, taking risks and doing all types of things that’s really still kind of unexpected for her.”
