Il “nuovo” trend delle calze a rete: l’ennesima scusa delle delle Kardashian/Jenner per attirare l’attenzione? Acuta osservazione..ma no.
The “new” fishnet tights trend: another excuse for the Kardashians to get even more attention? Accurate…but no.
Le calze a rete sono resuscitate sulle passerelle la scorsa stagione, con la presentazione delle collezioni ready-to-wear primavera/estate, sia in versione molto trash (come non citare Jeremy Scott) che in versione piú sobria (vedi Just Cavalli).
Fishnet thights made a both trashy and fashionable comeback (respectively Jeremy Scott ans Just Cavalli) on the runway last season, during the presentation of spring/summer ready-to-wear collections.
Gi stilisti giocano con accostamenti decisi, eccentrici ma interessanti, dopotutto le suggestioni dell’alta moda sono fatte per stupire, ma nella vita reale spetta sempre a noi dosare quelle ispirazioni per dare una marcia in più al nostro stile. Tuttavia sembra ci sia una linea diretta che collega le celebrity/influencer più in voga ( qualcuno ha detto Kardashian ?) al trash…e quindi al mainstream.
Parliamoci chiaro, noi italiani non dobbiamo certo andare oltreoceano per cogliere i trend virali del momento: abbiamo una discreta lista di Chiara e altre discutibili “”celebrità”” che in quanto a trash non hanno nulla da invidiare a Kylie o Kim. Ecco qui una diapositiva.
Designers played with sharp, edgy yet interesting combinations, after all high fashion suggestions are made to amaze us, then it is up to us to measure out these inspirations to upgrade our personal style. However it looks like there is a thin line connetcing the celebrities/influencers of the moment with trash styling…and therefore to mainstream.
Just to be clear, we Italian people don’t have to look that far to catch the latest viral trends: we have quite a selection of Chiaras and other alleged celebrities that when it comes to trashy outfits , they are as good as Kylie or Kim. A clear example shown below:
Ed eccoci qui, tutte pronte ad abboccare come dei totani e correre ad acquistare/indossare l’ossessione del momento. Acquisto del quale tra qualche anno (ma anche tra qualche mese) potremmo pentirci amaramente.
Quindi? Le indossiamo? Non le indossiamo? Le compriamo per farci la pesca a strascico?
Il segreto sta sempre nel non esagerare, questo mi sembra ovvio. Se ci piaccio le calze a rete è giusto indossarle ovviamente, ma cerchiamo di capire come abbinarle ma soprattutto come NON abbinarle.

So what are we supposed to do then? Not buying it? Use them for fishing? Well the secret lays in the balance, obviously. If we love fishnet tights we should obviously wear them, however let’s try to figure out how to style them…but most important how NOT to style them.
Here’s some first hand advices:
La calza a rete è un accessorio che si nota, aggressivo, anche provocatorio volendo, quindi non esageriamo con il resto, a meno che non si pratichi un certo tipo di lavoro (ovvero la pesca a strascico di cui sopra).
Fishnet thights are a statement accessory, edgy and provocative, so let’s not go over board with the rest of our look (unless you are into trawling).
Quindi NO /Let’s say NO to:
- Metro di calza a rete che ci copre la pancia + crop top. Soprattutto in inverno, vero Chiara Biasi? / Stretch the tights to our stomac while wearing a crop top. Especially in winter, did you hear us Chiara Biasi?
- Ciabatte improbabili. / Awful slippers
- Ma soprattutto niente tallone scoperto. Fa proprio brutto./ but above all don’t bear your heels while wearing fishnet thights. It’s not pretty.
E infine SI a /Let’s say YES to:
- Calze a rete fini, sono decisamente più eleganti. / wear thin fishnet thights, they are much cooler;
- Sdrammatizzare con uno stivale basso, per un look un po’ rock. /play down your look by wearing biker boots, for a rock touch;
- La versione calzino corto con le scarpe da ginnastica o con un paio di brogue/ wear fishnet socks with sneakers or brogues;
