CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2016: the opening cerimony

Yesterday evening (May 11th) all eyes were turned to Cannes for the opening ceremony of the 69th Cannes Film Festival: finally that time of the year, when the most famous international stars gathers together on the French Riviera to celebrate the film industry… As well as fashion, of course!

The luxurious red carpet was inaugurated by the screening of Woody Allen’s Café Society (trailer at the end of the article).

Finally a Naomi Watts’ look that I could love: this liliac column dress from Armani Spring 2016 Couture collection looks lovely on the American actress.

Flawless. That vampy styling is what seals the deal: a fashionista-worty look worn by a beautiful model. Congratulations Lily, you made our MsD smile!

This a fresh off the runway look for the joung American star, courtesy of Mr Lagerfeld, who presented the Resort collection in Cuba days ago.
However, this is a completely missed opportunity…

This might be a coincidence, maybe she is working on a new role that requires bad dyed blond hair (I seriously hope so). Even if we forget the color, that messy haistyle just doesn’t match the edgy and sexy nature of the outfit.

Rumor has it that her fashion company is sinking: well, looking at her being let down by her own design, make me think that it might be true.
